Glycine max
Overview
Glycine max , commonly known as soybean, is a legume species classified
as oilseed. It's rich in proteins and is widely used as a substitute for
meat and dairy products. The genome sequencing was done using the "Whole genome
shotgun" approach, and finished in 2008. The soybean genome contains 20
chromosomes and is approximately 975Mb large.
