PLAZA Licensing

  1. The resources and data comprising PLAZA are free for academic research purposes only. The data in the PLAZA platform is licensed using the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license: Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International
  2. Academic collaborations sponsored by industrial partners are not considered academic research, but are considered as commercial purposes.
  3. The use of PLAZA by an industrial party at any stage during their research, development and/or commercial exploitation are considered commercial purposes.
  4. If you are a commercial venture and wish to make use of PLAZA for commercial or R&D purposes, please contact us first. Commercial ventures can explore PLAZA using these PLAZA light access terms:
    1. Commercial ventures can browse the PLAZA platform, FTP data, and API for the express purpose of testing the PLAZA platform.
    2. Commercial ventures can explore the PLAZA Workbench by using a company email address, by indicating they are a non-academic user, and by providing the company name, during the registration procedure. Access to a maximum of 5 Workbench experiments is granted for the sole purpose of testing and exploring the PLAZA platform.
  5. Re-distribution of large-scale PLAZA comparative genomics datasets without attribution through other online databases is not permitted, please contact us or view the data-license for more information.
