  • Description Member of the E2F transcription factors, (cell cycle genes), key components of the cyclin D/retinoblastoma/E2F pathway. Binds DPA and RBR1 proteins. Expressed throughout the cell cycle. Abundance increased by auxin through stabilization of the protein. Elevates CDK levels and activity, even under hormone-free conditions. Promotes cell division and shortens cell doubling time, inhibits cell growth.
