Species: Setaria italica

Description
Foxtail millet, Setaria italica, is a common cereal prepared in East Asia, where is has been grown since 6000 BC. To date it is produced for human consumption in China and India, in Europe and North America it is grown mainly to scale for hay and silage. Setaria italica is also considered for potential use as biofuel.
