- Description Encodes a protein belonging to SART-1 family. The gene is expressed in the basal region of the developing embryo during heart stage. Phenotypic analyses of dot2 mutants suggest that this protein plays a role in root, shoot, and flower development. dot2 mutants are dwarved plants that display an aberrant spurred leaf venation pattern and fail to flower.
