General Information

  • Identifier IPR033489
  • Description E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RBBP6 family

Abstract

RBBP6 interacts with both p53 and pRb and has been implicated in mRNA processing [ 1 ]. It also acts as a E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that interacts with YB-1 and ZBTB38, leading to ubiquitination of both proteins [ 2 , 3 ]. It is involved in regulating DNA replication and common fragile site stability [ 4 ].

This family also includes the homologues from yeast Mpe1 [ 4 ] and PARAQUAT TOLERANCE3 from Arabidopsis [ 5 ].
