Abstract

The short CCT (CO, COL, TOC1) motif is found in a number of plant proteins, including Constans (CO), Constans-like (COL) and TOC1. The CCT motif is about 45 amino acids long and contains a putative nuclear localisation signal within the second half of the CCT motif [ 1 ]. The CCT motif is found in the Arabidopsis circadian rhythm protein TOC1, an autoregulatory response regulator homologue the controls the photoperiodic flowering through its clock function [ 2 ].
