Abstract

Members of this family include putative quinone oxidoreductases that belong to the broader superfamily of zinc-dependent alcohol (of medium chain length) dehydrogenases. A member of this family is human quinone oxidoreductase PIG3, which is induced by p53 and may be involved in the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) [ 1 ].
