Abstract

This family contains plant proteins modifying wall lignin-1 (MWL1), modifying wall lignin-2 (MWL2) and homologues. MWL1 and 2 are involved in secondary cell wall biology, specifically lignin biosynthesis [ 1 ]. Proteins included in this family contain a number of conserved cysteine residues.
