- Description Encodes a homolog of yeast cell cycle regulator CDC25. It has a sole catalytic domain and devoid of the N-terminal regulatory region found in the human CDC25 and is capable of reducing the mitotic cell length of transformed fission yeast. Non-plant CDC25 proteins have been shown to do this. However, the gene is more or less constant, regardless of whether the tissue examined contained proliferative cells.
