Description

grl-4 encodes a hedgehog-like protein, with an N-terminal signal sequence, a central proline-rich low-complexity region, and a C-terminal Ground-like (Grl) domain; GRL-4 is expressed in pharynx, reproductive system, vulva, larval neurons, and larval rectal epithelium; the Grl domain is predicted to form a cysteine-crosslinked protein involved in intercellular signalling, and it has subtle similarity to the N-terminal Hedge domain of HEDGEHOG proteins.
