Eucalyptus grandis

Eucalyptus grandis is considered to be one of the fastest growing plants in the world. Biomass production is an important factor to consider Eucalyptus as a source for sustainable energy. The genome sequence should contribute to understanding the basis of this fast growth rate. Furthermore, Eucalyptus has excellent wood and interesting fiber properties.
