Abstract

ARC3 acts as a Z-ring accessory protein involved in division site placement in chloroplast. ARC3 contains an N-terminal domain with similarities to FtsZ proteins and a C-terminal domain containing MORN (membrane occupation and recognition) motifs, linked by a novel middle domain, and was reported as a cytosolic chloroplast division component [ 1 ].
