InterPro domain: IPR044972

General Information

  • Identifier IPR044972
  • Description TATA-binding protein-associated factor Mot1

Abstract

The TATA-binding protein (TBP) is a major target for transcriptional regulation. Mot1, a Swi2/Snf2-related ATPase, dissociates TBP from DNA in an ATP dependent process [ 1 ]. The N-terminal domain of Mot1 has been shown to bind TBP, NC2 and DNA. Its ATPase domain is at the C terminus [ 2 ].
