Abstract

This entry represents a group of plant transcription factors, including ASIL1/2 and FIP2 from Arabidopsis. ASIL1 functions as a negative regulator of embryonic traits in seedlings and contributes to the maintenance of precise temporal control of seed filling [ 1 ]. ASIL2 is a trihelix transcription factor that acts downstream of miRNAs to repress the maturation program early in embryogenesis [ 2 ]. FIP2 is a FRI interacting protein. FRI up-regulates expression of the floral repressor FLOWERING LOCUS C (FLC) [ 3 ].
