Abstract

Phosphatidylglycerophosphatase and protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1 (PTPMT1) regulates phospholipid biosynthesis [ 1 ]. In mammals, it is a mitochondrial phosphatidylglycerophosphate (PGP) phosphatase that regulates cardiolipin biosynthesis [ 2 ].

This entry includes phosphatidylglycerophosphatase and protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1 (PTPMT1) and its homologues from animals and plants. In Arabidopsis there are two homologues, PTPMT1 and PTPMT2. They are involved in root growth and columella cells organization [ 3 ].
