Abstract

This entry represents the N-terminal domain subdomain 2 of Rmi (RecQ-mediated genome instability protein) proteins [ 1 ]. This domain probably carries an oligo-nucleotide-binding domain or OB-fold, and forms a stable complex with Bloom syndrome protein BLM and DNA topoisomerase 3-alpha [ 2 ].

Structurally, this subdomain consists of 3 alpha helices and 6 beta strands arranged into an OB-fold.

2. BLAP18/RMI2, a novel OB-fold-containing protein, is an essential component of the Bloom helicase-double Holliday junction dissolvasome. Genes Dev. 22, 2856-68
