Abstract
This entry represents the catalytic domain of DNA-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit (DNA-PKcs). The DNA-PK complex is composed of DNA-PKcs, the heterodimer Ku70/80, XRCC4, and ligase IV. The DNA-PK complex is involved in non-homologous end joining (NHEJ), a process of repairing double strand breaks (DSBs) by joining together two free DNA ends of little homology [ 1 ].
