InterPro domain: IPR037692

General Information

  • Identifier IPR037692
  • Description Centrosomal protein of 70kDa

Abstract

CEP70 localizes to the centrosome throughout the cell cycle and binds to the key centrosomal component, gamma-tubulin [ 1 ]. It plays an important role in the regulation of microtubule dynamics, mitotic spindle formation, cell migration, and ciliogenesis [ 2 ]. It has been shown to regulate cancer growth and metastasis [ 3 , 4 ].
