Abstract
Tetraketide alpha-pyrone reductase 1 (TKPR1) is involved in the biosynthesis of hydroxylated tetraketide compounds that serve as sporopollenin precursors [ 1 ]. It may be involved in a metabolic pathway essential for pollen wall development [ 2 ].
