Abstract
Rrp43 is a non-catalytic core component of exosome, which is a 3'-5' exoribonuclease complex that functions both in the nucleus and in the cytoplasm to either degrade or process RNA [ 1 , 2 , 3 ].
1. Reconstitution, activities, and structure of the eukaryotic RNA exosome. Cell 127, 1223-37
2. The exosome subunit Rrp43p is required for the efficient maturation of 5.8S, 18S and 25S rRNA. Nucleic Acids Res. 27, 1283-8
3. Human cell growth requires a functional cytoplasmic exosome, which is involved in various mRNA decay pathways. RNA 13, 1027-35
