Abstract

RNA-binding protein 45 (RBM45), also known as Drb1, is a neural RNA-binding protein that forms cytoplasmic inclusions in neurons and glia in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) [ 1 , 2 ]. It may function as a homo-oligomer and its oligomerization contributes to ALS/FTLD RNA-binding protein aggregation [ 3 ].
