Geranylgeranyl transferase type-2 subunit alpha (also known as Rab geranyl-geranyltransferase subunit alpha or RabGGTase alpha) is a subunit of the Rab geranylgeranyl transferase [ 1 ]. RabGGTase catalyses the attachment of geranylgeranyl isoprenoids to Rab guanine triphosphatases, which are key regulators in vesicular transport [ 2 ].
