Abstract
This entry includes a group of proteins that play a role in flowering, including Arabidopsis TERMINAL FLOWER 1 (TFL1), MOTHER OF FT AND TFL1 (MFT), ACENTRORADIALIS-like (ATC) and BROTHER OF FT AND TFL1 (BFT) [ 1 ]. TFL1 interacts with the bZIP transcription factor FD and represses the transcription of FD-dependent floral meristem identity genes such as APETALA1 (AP1) and AGAMOUS (AG). It suppresses the transition from juvenile to adult stage [ 2 , 3 ].
