Abstract

This entry includes a group of plant ring finger and CHY zinc finger domain-containing protein, including MIEL1 (MYB30-INTERACTING E3 LIGASE 1, AT5G18650 ( Q8VZK0 )) from Arabidopsis. MIEL1 is a RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase that interacts with and ubiquitinates MYB30 (a transcription factor), leading to MYB30 proteasomal degradation and downregulation of its transcriptional activity [ 1 ].
