Abstract
p53 and DNA damage-regulated protein 1 (PDRG) mRNA is upregulated by ultraviolet radiation (UV) but downregulated by tumour suppressor p53 [ 1 ]. Its expression is increased in multiple human malignancies, suggesting that it could play a role in cancer development and/or progression [ 2 ]. It belongs to the prefoldin subunit beta family, whose members are chaperone complex subunits. The function of PDRG is not clear.
