Abstract
In Arabidopsis, sulfate is taken up from the soil by root-specific high-affinity transporters and is then transported to the xylem by two low-affinity transporters, SULTR2;1 (At5g10180) and SULTR2;2 (At1g77990) [ 1 ]. This entry represents low-affinity sulfate transporters from plants such as SULTR2;2 from Arabidopsis and shst3 from Stylosanthes [ 2 ].
