The YqgF domain of Spt6 proteins is homologous to the E.coli Holliday junction resolvase RuvC [ 1 ], but its putative catalytic site lacks the carboxylate side chains critical for coordinating magnesium ions that mediate phosphodiester bond-cleavage [ 2 ].
