Abstract
Actin-related protein 5 (Arp5) is proposed to be the core component of the chromatin remodeling INO80 complex, which is involved in transcriptional regulation, DNA replication and probably DNA repair [ 1 , 2 ]. Together with Ies6, Arp5 promotes binding of the INO80 complex to nucleosomes to help initiate the remodeling reaction [ 3 ].
