Abstract

Prp6/Prp1 is a component of the U4/U6-U5 snRNP complex, which is involved in pre-mRNA splicing [ 1 ]. This entry also includes Prp6/Prp1 homologue, stabilised 1 (STA1, AT4G03430), from Arabidopsis [ 2 ]. STA1 is involved in the biogenesis of microRNAs and RNA-directed DNA methylation [ 3 , 3 ].
