Abstract

This entry represents the autophagy-related protein 2 CAD motif. The Atg2 protein, an integral membrane protein, is required for a range of functions including the regulation of autophagy in conjunction with the Atg1-Atg13 complex [ 1 , 2 , 3 ]. The precise function of this region, with its characteristic highly conserved CAD sequence motif, is not known.
