Abstract
This entry represents the conserved N-terminal domain of proteins that are involved in cell morphogenesis. Among these are furry proteins and homologues [ 1 , 2 ], and proteins PAG1 [ 3 ] and Mor2 [ 4 ].
1. The furry gene of Drosophila is important for maintaining the integrity of cellular extensions during morphogenesis. Development 128, 2793-802
2. AF4p12, a human homologue to the furry gene of Drosophila, as a novel MLL fusion partner. Cancer Res. 65, 6521-5
3. Pag1p, a novel protein associated with protein kinase Cbk1p, is required for cell morphogenesis and proliferation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Mol. Biol. Cell 13, 503-14
4. Fission yeast Mor2/Cps12, a protein similar to Drosophila Furry, is essential for cell morphogenesis and its mutation induces Wee1-dependent G(2) delay. EMBO J. 21, 4863-74
