Abstract

A number of eukaryotic and archaebacterial ribosomal proteins can be grouped on the basis of sequence similarities [ 1 ]. One of these families consists of:

  • Mammalian L15.
  • Insect L15.
  • Plant L15.
  • Yeast YL10 (L13) (Rp15r).
  • Archaebacterial L15e.

These ribosomal proteins have a structure corresponding to a 3-layer (alpha-beta-alpha) sandwich.
