Abstract

This entry represents a domain found in the N terminus of the pre-rRNA-processing protein Ipi1. This domain can also be found in testis-expressed sequence 10 protein (TEX10).

In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Ipi1 is a component of the RIX1 complex required for processing of ITS2 sequences from 35S pre-rRNA [ 1 , 2 ].

In humans, TEX10 is a component of some MLL1/MLL complex, a protein complex that can methylate lysine-4 of histone H3 [ 3 ].
