Abstract

This uncharacterised C-terminal domain is found in variable lymphocyte receptor proteins from lamprey and hagfish (cyclostome taxon). They consist of leucine-rich repeats (LRR) thatare assembled into functional receptors through somatic diversification of the incomplete germ-line VLR gene in lamprey and hagfish [ 1 ].
