Abstract
This is a five-bladed beta-propeller fold catalytic domain where each blade has four twisted antiparallel beta-strands radially orientated around a pseudo-5-fold axis [ 1 ]. It can be found in the glycosyl hydrolase family 43 (GH43) members, including beta-xylosidases, alpha-L-arabinanases and bifunctional beta-xylosidases/alpha-L-arabinofuranosidases [ 2 , 3 , 4 ]. This domain can also be found in other GH families, such as GH32, GH62 and GH68 [ 5 ].
