Abstract

The trimeric photosystem I of the cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus recomprises 11 protein subunits. Subunit XI, PsaL, from plants and bacteria is one of the smaller subunits with only two transmembrane alpha helices. PsaL interacts closely with PsaI [ 1 ].
