Abstract
This entry represents a domain found in trafficking protein particle complex subunit 11 (Trappc11), which is involved in endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi apparatus trafficking at a very early stage [ 1 ]. The C terminus of this region contains TPR repeats.
In zebrafish, Trappc11 is also known as protein foie gras. It has been shown to affect development; the mutants develop large, lipid-filled hepatocytes in the liver, resembling those in individuals with fatty liver disease [ 2 ].
