Abstract

This entry represents proteins SOSEKI 1-5 (SOK1-5) from Arabidopsis thaliana. SOSEKI proteins (SOK1-5) integrate apical-basal and radial organismal axes to localize to polar cell edges and contain a DIX oligomerization domain that resembles that in the animal Dishevelled polarity regulator [ 1 , 2 ]. SOK2 is also known as Protein UPSTREAM OF FLC (UFC, At5g10150) and is part of a three-gene cluster containing FLC, UFC and DFC, which is coordinately regulated in response to vernalization [ 3 , 4 ].
