Abstract
Cryptochromes are blue/ultraviolet-A light sensing photoreceptors involved in regulating various growth and developmental responses in plants [ 1 ]. This signature is found in eukaryotic proteins at the C-terminal end and are typically between 113 and 125 amino acids in length. The family is found in association with PF03441 and PF00875 .
1. Cryptochrome 1 from Brassica napus is up-regulated by blue light and controls hypocotyl/stem growth and anthocyanin accumulation. Plant Physiol. 141, 61-74
