Abstract
Yeast tRNA (guanine(9)-N1)-methyltransferase TRM10 catalyses the formation of N(1)-methylguanine at position 9 (m1G9) in cytoplasmic tRNAs [ 1 , 2 ]. This group also includes metazoa homologue A (TRM10A). In humans there are three TRM10 orthologues; a nonsense mutation in TRMT10A has been associated with microcephaly [ 3 ].
