Abstract
This entry represents replication factor C subunit 1 (RFC1), which is the large subunit of replication factor C (RF-C), a five subunit DNA polymerase accessory protein. RF-C is a DNA binding protein complex and ATPase that acts as a clamp loader of the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) processivity factor for DNA polymerases delta and epsilon [ 1 ]. It also may have a role in telomere stability [ 2 ].
