Abstract
Proteins in this family include WEB1 (At2g26570) and PMI15 (At5g38150) from Arabidopsis thaliana.
Both Web1 and PMI15 are required for the chloroplast avoidance response under high intensity blue light. This avoidance response consists in the relocation of chloroplasts on the anticlinal side of exposed cells. Web1 acts in association with PMI2 to maintain the velocity of chloroplast photorelocation movement via cp-actin filaments regulation [ 1 , 2 ].
