Abstract

This entry represents a group of immunity-related GTPases like proteins, including interferon-inducible GTPase from mammals. This entry also includes some uncharacterised proteins from bacteria, fungi and invertebrates.

Interferon-inducible GTPase (IIGP) is thought to play a role in in intracellular defence. IIGP is predominantly associated with the Golgi apparatus and also localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and exerts a distinct role in IFN-induced intracellular membrane trafficking or processing [ 1 ].
