Abstract

This group of sequences represent cystathionine beta-lyase (alternate name: beta-cystathionase), one of several pyridoxal-dependent enzymes of cysteine, methionine, and homocysteine metabolism. This enzyme is involved in the biosynthesis of Met from Cys.
