Abstract

Delta l-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase contains a glutamate 5-kinase (ProB, 2.7.2.11 ) region followed by a gamma-glutamyl phosphate reductase (ProA, 1.2.1.41 ) region and catalyses the first and second steps in proline biosynthesis.
