Abstract

This family represents Ffh (Fifty-Four Homologue), the protein component that forms the bacterial (and organellar) signal recognition particle together with a 4.5S RNA [ 1 , 2 ]. Ffh is a GTPase homologous to eukaryotic SRP54.
