- tag-10 encodes, by alternative splicing, two nearly identical proteins; TAG-10 proteins are putatively secreted, with an N-terminal signal sequence and four C-terminal WD40 repeats; TAG-10 proteins are orthologous to the GA1 apical gut membrane polyprotein of Haemonchus contortus, and more distantly similar to the periplasmic TolB colicin receptor subunit of E. coli.
