- T23B3.4 encodes a seven transmembrane receptor that is most closely related to the mammalian cholecystokinin receptors; loss of T23B3.4 activity via RNAi, either singly or in combination with another cholecystokinin receptor-encoding gene, Y39A3B.5, has no effect on fat metabolism, however large-scale RNAi screens have reported that T23B3.4(RNAi) results in embryonic lethality and reduced brood sizes; a T23B3.4::GFP reporter is expressed in a subset of nerve ring neurons.
