Alpha-tocopherol transport protein belongs to a large family of proteins which binds only alpha-tocopherol (and not the gamma form), and as such displaysthe same sort of stereo-selective binding as implicated with cellularretinaldehyde-binding protein (CRALBP) with which it is known to share sequencesimilarity [1].
